YieldBuild Premium Program Policies

Please note that Your site(s)’ participation in the Premium Programs will be on a provisional status until Your site(s) is/are evaluated and determined to meet YieldBuild policy guidelines below. Should Your site(s) be rejected (or subsequently suspended once live) for not complying with YieldBuild policies, then YieldBuild will not be able to disburse any revenues from the Premium Programs to You.

Publishers in the YieldBuild Premium Programs may not display Premium Text Ad Program ads or Premium Display Ads Program ads on web pages with content protected by copyright law unless such Publisher has the necessary legal rights to display that content.

Publishers in the YieldBuild Premium Programs will ensure that sites serving Premium Text Ad Program ads and/or Premium Display Ads Program ads do not include content promoting or enabling any of the following:

  • Hate speech, including sites devoted to violence, intolerance, defamation, or advocacy against peoples, races, religions, countries, groups, ideologies, or organizations
  • Weapons, ammunition, or harmful substances
  • Alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, or drug paraphernalia
  • Gambling or casino-related content
  • Prescription drugs
  • Adult and mature content (including pornography, sex toys, or descriptions of sexual acts)
  • Trademark or copyright infringements, including sites devoted to selling replicas or imitations of designer goods, or promoting illegal file downloads
  • Fake documents and cheating services, including sites enabling you to evade the law, cheat on exams, or that offer student essays and papers
  • Hacking or cracking content
  • How to “spam,” including exploitation of bulk emailing and marketing
  • How to “get rich quick” using multilevel marketing, working from home offers
  • Excessive profanity
  • Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking on ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites, or reading emails
  • Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
  • Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site’s search engine ranking
  • Other illegal or offensive content, or any content that infringes on the rights of others

With respect to the items listed above, Publisher may request that content of an educational and/or public service nature be allowed on websites that participate in the Premium Programs.

Regarding the language of the content on the Publisher site(s)in the YieldBuild Premium Programs, for any sites that are not primarily in English, Publisher will report to YieldBuild the following:
a) at the time of submission of such site(s), the language make-up of the sites(s), and
b) over time, any material changes to such language make-up of the site(s).

Publisher Site Behavior:

  • Pages may not display pop-ups or pop-unders other than those initiated by user action
  • Pages may not serve up any “leave-behinds” or other actions when a user leaves the page
  • Sites whose primary purpose is to encourage users to click on ads are not allowed.
  • Sites whose primary content is ads are not allowed, irrespective of the relevance of the page content.
  • Sites with entirely or largely copied (with or without the approval of the content owner) or imported content are not allowed.
  • Sites may not change settings on a user’s machine or download software onto it without the user’s express permission.
  • Sites may not disable the browser back button or interfere with a user’s navigation in any way.
  • Materially unfinished sites or those under construction are not allowed.
  • Sites requesting personally identifiable information from users must display a prominent link to the site’s privacy policy.
  • No YieldBuild code may be integrated into a software application.
  • Webpages containing YieldBuild code may not be loaded by any software that can change browser settings, induce pop-ups, redirect users to unwanted websites, or otherwise interfere with navigation. Publisher affirms that no ad network or affiliate will use these kinds of methods to send traffic to pages that contain your YieldBuild code.
  • Referral offerings must not obligate or require anything of users.
  • Any online advertising used to direct traffic to pages displaying Premium Text Ad Program and/or Premium Display Ad Program ads must not be deceptive.

Invalid Impressions & Clicks:

Clicks on Premium Text Ad Program ads and/or Premium Display Ad Program ads must be the result of authentic user interest. Any setup that generates artificial clicks or impressions on your Premium Text Ad Program ads and/or Premium Display Ad Program ads is strictly forbidden, including but not limited to repeated manual clicks or impressions, the use of automated click- and impression-generating software or online tools, third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, robots, or any deceitful software.

Clicking on Your own ads for any reason is forbidden. Violations of this policy may result in the termination of your account.

Promoting clicks

Publishers may not encourage users to click on Premium Text Ad Program ads and/or Premium Display Ad Program ads on their sites or utilize deceitful methods in order to garner clicks. Publishers participating in the Premium Programs:

  • May not invite users to click the Premium Text Ad Program ads and/or Premium Display Ad Program ads via phrases such as “visit these sites,” “click these ads,” “support this site,” language along these lines.
  • May not attract user attention to the ads through the use arrows or other graphical gimmicks
  • May not place confusing images near ads
  • May not obscure any portion of the ads.
  • May not place deceptive labels near Premium Text Ad Program ad units and/or Premium Display Ad Program ad units, like “Favorite Sites” or “Interesting Links”, that mislead users into thinking they are natural links. Users must be able to distinguish advertising from natural links on the page.
  • May not publicize sites with Premium Text Ad Program ads and/or Premium Display Ad Program ads through unsolicited mass emails ("spam") or unwanted advertisements on third-party sites
  • May not remunerate users for viewing or clicking ads, or promise remuneration to a third party for such actions

*All capitalized terms in this YieldBuild Premium Program Policies document shall have the same meaning as provided in the YieldBuild End User License Agreement.
